Overview

As a Senior EMC Engineer in Munich, you will act as the EMC authority across automotive MCU/MPU development, driving compliant, customer-ready solutions. You’ll perform measurements, develop test plans, and guide design choices to improve EMC robustness. You’ll collaborate with design, layout, and applications teams while shaping EMC methodologies and knowledge transfer. This role offers growth into technical leadership and broader ownership within a cutting-edge automotive hardware domain.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Plan, conduct and analyze EMC measurements at IC, board and system level according to international and automotive standards
  • Define pre-compliance and compliance test strategies to identify risks early in development
  • Support failure analysis and root-cause investigations of EMC issues
  • Influence chip, package, PCB and system-level design decisions to boost EMC robustness
  • Collaborate with design, layout, package, safety and application engineering teams
  • Provide expert recommendations on filtering, grounding, shielding and layout concepts
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance within the EMC domain and support knowledge transfer
  • Serve as EMC expert for internal teams and as interface to automotive customers, OEMs, and Tier-1 suppliers
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of EMC methodologies and best practices
  • Stay current on emerging EMC standards and automotive requirements
  • Support development of EMC competency within the organization by sharing expertise
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • Several years of hands-on EMC experience, ideally in automotive electronics or semiconductors
  • Experience with radiated and conducted emissions, susceptibility and immunity tests
  • Troubleshooting EMC issues and implementing solutions
  • Proficiency with EMC test equipment, measurement tools, and software
  • Strong understanding of EMC principles, standards, regulations, and testing procedures
  • Knowledge of semiconductor devices and their interaction with EM fields
  • Familiarity with IEC 61000 series, CISPR, FCC and CE standards
  • Experience with EMC simulations and modeling tools is a plus
  • Laboratory or manufacturing environment experience preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Interest in long-term technical ownership and willingness to grow responsibilities
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently and in a team
  • Fluent in English; German beneficial
