In 2018, the German subsidiary Hanshow Germany GmbH was founded in the Düsseldorf’s Oberkassel area. To match the rapid growth of our business in Europe, we are actively recruiting Energy Storage & Solar Market Expert (d/f/m) .

Role Overview:

We are looking for an Energy Storage & Solar Market Specialist with solid experience in the German and French energy markets. The ideal candidate should be able to evaluate, model, and develop commercial solutions for both utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) energy storage projects.

This is a hands‑on role requiring strong analytical skills, practical market knowledge, and the ability to deliver project‑specific business cases and commercial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct techno‑economic and financial analysis for utility‑scale BESS, C&I storage, and Solar + Storage projects.
• Develop business cases and revenue models based on local market conditions.
• Evaluate revenue streams including: Energy arbitrage, Ancillary services, Capacity markets, Demand response, Grid flexibility services.
• Analyze electricity market prices, battery dispatch strategies, and project profitability.
• Assess regulations, grid connection requirements, and market rules in Germany, France, and neighboring European markets.
• Support project development by preparing commercial proposals, investment analyses, and customer solutions.
• Work with engineering and sales teams to optimize system sizing and project economics.
• Provide technical training and commercial guidance to internal sales teams.
• Monitor market developments, policy changes and emerging storage

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in energy storage, renewable energy, or electricity markets.
• Strong understanding of: Utility‑scale BESS, C&I battery storage, Solar PV projects and European electricity markets.
• Experience building techno‑economic modelling and project business cases.
• Good knowledge of the German and French energy markets; familiarity with other European markets is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel and energy market analysis/modeling tools.
• Fluent English and German; Chinese is an advantage.
• Preferred Experience:
• Experience with battery revenue modeling and dispatch optimization.
• Familiarity with ancillary service markets (FCR, aFRR, mFRR), balancing markets, and capacity mechanisms.
• Ability to independently develop project solutions and present recommendations to internal teams and customers.
• Ideal Candidate: A practical market expert who can independently perform commercial analysis, build financial models, develop storage solutions, and support project execution across Germany, France, and neighboring European markets.
