Engineer (m/f/d) chemical engineering

For a renowned chemical company in Magdeburg, we are seeking a dedicated Chemical Engineer (m/f/d) specializing in chemical product support and compliance. This is a responsible position that combines independent laboratory analysis, expert customer consulting, and regulatory substance development with attractive conditions and flexible work arrangements.

Technical B2B consulting: You will serve as the technical contact for business customers in the fields of thermal management, climate control, and renewable energies, and will sustainably expand the existing network. Laboratory diagnostics and evaluation: You will quickly analyze material samples from ongoing industrial processes and derive detailed findings and specific recommendations for users. Hazardous materials management: You will be responsible for creating and maintaining safety-relevant product documentation, monitoring current legislation, and assessing risks to ensure smooth market approval. Formulation development: In response to new legal restrictions or substitution requirements, you will skillfully adapt existing mixtures, test alternative raw materials, or design entirely new product solutions. Quality assurance: Incoming complaints are systematically analyzed by you and clarified in close coordination with the internal quality management department.

• Education/Studies: You have an academic degree in a scientific or technical field with a clear focus on chemistry (e.g. chemical engineering, materials science or related disciplines).

• Practical experience: You have already gained relevant professional experience in application-related support, laboratory analysis or in the field of hazardous substances law / regulatory affairs.

• Specialized knowledge: You are experienced in dealing with chemical-specific regulations, substitution tests and the requirements for chemical products.

• Working style: Even with time-critical laboratory results, you work extremely precisely, solution-oriented, and always keep the needs of the customers in focus.

• Languages and mobility: You possess fluent German skills (at least C1 level) and practical English skills for occasional international coordination, as well as a low willingness to travel (less than 10%) for rare on-site appointments.
