Engineering Manager (f/m/d)

As Engineering Manager at MARKT-PILOTS, you will lead the engineering organization in lockstep with the CPTO, translating product and technical directions into actionable plans. You will shape teams, roles, and capabilities to support the product roadmap and company growth. You’ll drive organizational change, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration, delivering fast, high-quality software outcomes. This role offers the chance to influence architecture decisions, team structure, and business impact in a fast-moving scale-up.

• Serve as the engineering execution and people leadership counterpart to the CPTO
• Shape the Engineering organization to align with product modules and direction
• Lead organizational change, including restructuring and redefining roles
• Set clear performance standards, conduct feedback and performance conversations
• Build trust across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Identify capability gaps and guide hiring, role redesign, or organizational changes
• Create accountability and maintain speed without excessive processes
• Partner with the CPTO to surface signals, challenge direction, and translate decisions into actionable pace of change

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams through change
• Excellent communicator adaptable to senior leaders, GTM stakeholders, and engineers
• Strong people leader with experience in feedback, conversations, performance management
• Technical credibility to understand modern software architecture and engineering practices
• Experience with organizational design and aligning teams to product
• Comfort with ambiguity and ownership, willingness to adjust approaches
• Pragmatic change leader with empathy and decisive decision-making
• Ability to operate across European time zones and influence without owning the CPTO’s direction
