We are currently looking for an experienced, detail‑oriented individual to join our Data Center Engineering Operations Team. This group maintains critical physical infrastructure that supports our Data Centers, ensuring they operate at 100% availability while providing high‑quality service to internal teams.

The Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) is responsible for operating and maintaining all electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire/life safety, and other critical equipment within the data center. The EOT serves as a technical resource and is tasked with driving innovation while reducing operational costs.

Responsibilities

Assist in the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment.
Monitor and maintain all data‑center systems, including incidents/events, problems, changes, monitoring, problem escalation/notification/resolution, and all other aspects of support.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, HVAC, voice/data, chiller, and generator systems.
Assist contractors or data‑center engineers with proper operation and maintenance of all facility equipment covered under level I certification, including fiber‑optic, electrical, HVAC repair, UPS, and generator certifications and training.
Assist with deployment of new equipment, such as building racks, cabling, and other tasks.
Respond to internal rack‑customer maintenance, repair, and expansion requests via the ticketing system.
Perform site walkthroughs to verify proper operation of facility equipment and monitoring systems.
Maintain change records for mission‑critical infrastructure to support corrective and preventive maintenance.
Review test quality, performance, safety, and reliability of products, equipment, and processes.

Basic Qualifications

Technical training (military or trade school) or equivalent experience in the field.
Electrical qualification(s) necessary to operate low‑voltage equipment in compliance with applicable German regulations (Elektrofachkraft).
Several years of relevant work experience, ideally within data‑center operations.
Must be a national of an EU member state.

Preferred Qualifications

Several years of experience working within a data center.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering field or mechanical/electrical trade.
Certified electrician per German regulations.
