Engineering Team Lead – EV Charging Infrastructure (all genders)

As Engineering Team Lead at gridX, you will steer a software engineering team while staying close to the technology to resolve challenges and deliver reliable products. You’ll shape technical direction, foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement, and collaborate with product and stakeholders to align goals with business needs. You’ll mentor engineers, drive 1:1s and professional growth, and contribute to architecture and system health. This role blends people leadership with hands-on technical influence in the energy-transition space.

• Lead, coach, and support a team of software engineers; conduct regular 1:1s and provide feedback
• Foster ownership, collaboration, trust, and continuous improvement within the team
• Shape technology through sound technical and architectural decisions; stay close to the codebase
• Contribute to architecture and technical discussions without being the primary developer
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate goals into technical priorities
• Balance technical excellence with business and customer needs; plan and deliver meaningful improvements and features
• Drive team health, motivation, and performance; contribute to engineering processes and ways of working

• Several years of professional software engineering experience
• Practical people experience leading and developing software engineers (1:1s, feedback, coaching)
• Strong technical foundation and ability to discuss technical and architectural topics
• Experience taking ownership in complex or ambiguous situations
• Collaborative, coaching-oriented leadership style
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Pragmatic mindset and strong sense of ownership
• Genuine interest in building impactful products
