Enterprise Architect M&A

We are exclusively retained to find a world-class Enterprise Architect for a €12bn revenue company delivering record profits, a strong balance sheet, and a huge acquisitive appetite in Hamburg. You will enable Post-Merger Integrations at scale across the Northwest European market, working closely with Strategy, the Senior Leadership Team, and Executive Committee on M&A decisions and operational execution. The CEO joins from a $100bn public company with a world-class M&A track record and is investing to repeat that formula here.

The Role:

• Develop blueprints and decision frameworks for fast, repeatable Post-Merger Integrations. From due diligence through Day 1 to long-term strategic architecture.
• Own Enterprise Architecture principles, standards, target architectures, and transformation roadmaps.
• Drive integration of business platforms and corporate functions (Finance, HR, Legal, IT), with transparency via LeanIX.
• Ensure consistency across application, data, integration, security, and infrastructure domains.

Your Profile:

• Hands-on M&A/Post-Merger Integration experience (due diligence, Day 1, transitional and target-state architectures).
• Deep EA/Integration Architecture expertise in complex environments, with Finance, HR, Legal, and Core IT transformation track record.
• Practical knowledge of data migration, master data, APIs, event-driven integration, and IAM.
• Hands-on LeanIX (or equivalent) as product owner/platform lead.
• SAP S/4HANA and Azure Integration Services beneficial; KRITIS/banking/regulated sector security architecture a strong advantage.
• Must speak German and be based in or able to travel to Hamburg 3 days per week.
