WSP E&IS GmbH is currently seeking Environmental Permitting Consultants for our location of Frankfurt .

Your New Role – Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting environmental due diligence studies for planned operational sites and development projects
  • Advising on environmental permitting and approval planning (e.g. under the German Federal Immission Control Act – BImSchG, and the Water Resources Act – WHG)
  • Preparing and submitting permit applications for industrial facilities (construction permits, BImSchG permits) and managing interactions with authorities
  • Project management of site development projects, including budget responsibility and coordination of specialist studies (e.g. environmental impact assessments, explosion protection)
  • Supporting WSP project teams for national and international clients , particularly in transactions and the clarification of permitting procedures
  • Supporting project acquisition activities , including presentations and preparation of proposals
  • Close collaboration with WSP specialist teams in Germany and internationally (working language generally English)

Your Team and Working Environment

You will become part of our 20-person Compliance and Permitting team . We work in an interdisciplinary manner and are closely networked with experts across Europe and internationally. Pool vehicles are available for project-related travel; overnight stays can be arranged flexibly in holiday apartments or hotels.

Is This Role Right for You?

  • Completed university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in environmental sciences, civil engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in permitting management and client project support
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant German environmental and permitting legislation
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, a high level of personal responsibility, and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proven very good German and English skills , both written and spoken
