EY-Consulting – Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse – Senior
The opportunity
We’re looking for Manager/Architect with expertise in Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) also known as FAW or Fusion AI Data Platform to join the EA group of our consulting Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Engineer with a strong track record of business analytics and data warehousing to join our team providing deep technical expertise in Analytics, Business Intelligence, Essbase, and Machine Learning across all industry sectors. Our Cloud Engineers work closely with external clients, presales, other architects, and internal teams to design, build, and enable solutions on different cloud & BI Stacks.
This role demands a highly technical, extremely hands‑on cloud engineer who will work closely with our EY Partners and external clients to develop new business and drive other initiatives on FAW, Oracle Analytics Cloud, ETL, and Data Warehouse. The ideal candidate must understand the value of data and analytics and have proven experience delivering solutions to different lines of business and providing technical leadership. From a top‑to‑bottom approach, the candidate will engage with a customer to discover business problems and goals, and develop solutions using different cloud services.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead Analytics offerings: Fusion Data Intelligence, Oracle Analytics Cloud, OBIEE, BI Publisher, ODI
- Deliver high quality client solutions that meet and exceed client and EY expectations and are delivered on‑time and on‑budget
- Manage client solution delivery, including defining project approach, leading and motivating project teams, monitoring and managing project risks, managing client and EY key stakeholders, and successfully delivering client solutions
- Identify new business opportunities, including building strong client relations, understanding client needs and EY solution offerings, communicating client opportunities to EY leadership, and helping develop client opportunities
Skills and attributes for success
- Deep expertise in Oracle BI & analytics offerings: Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI), Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Oracle Data Integrator Market Place (ODICS), Oracle Autonomous Datawarehouse (ADW), BI Publisher, Oracle Transactional BI (OTBI) etc.
- Hands‑on experience with Oracle Fusion Data Intelligenece
- Very good exposure to different data extraction mechanisms from Oracle Fusion ERP, HCM, SCM, Oracle CX etc.
- Hands‑on experience in pushing large chunks of data to Oracle Object Storage from on‑premise or different SaaS products
- Primary focus on developing customer solutions using Oracle’s analytics offerings: Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Data Visualization, Oracle Utility Analytics, OBIEE, OBIA, Machine Learning, and Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW)
- Good experience in BI tools like OAC / Power BI etc.
- Exposure to new technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, ADF, AWS Glue, Redshift, and cloud platforms like Azure / AWS will be a great advantage
- Experience in requirement gathering, solution blueprint, performing fit‑gap analysis, and business process design
- Experience in translating business analyst requirements into analytics metadata
- Solid knowledge of OBIEE RPD design, development & deployment
- Experience designing customized interactive dashboards and reports in OBIEE using drill‑down, prompts, filters, and variables
- Expertise in using OBIEE Answers to create queries, format views, charts, and add user interactivity and dynamic content to enhance the user experience
- Experience configuring OBIEE / OACS security (Authentication and Authorization – object level and data level security)
- Experience with session and repository variables and initialization blocks to streamline administrative tasks and modify metadata content dynamically
- Experience with report performance optimization
- Experience developing dimensional hierarchies and adding multiple sources to business model objects
- Skills creating and scheduling iBots and Oracle BI Delivers to provide real‑time, personalized, and actionable intelligence data to subscribers
- Expertise in developing logical data models (Business Model), metadata, and reports including logical columns, aliases, hierarchies, and subject areas
- Experience writing complex queries, stored procedures in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
- Determine requirements for aggregate tables, hierarchies, level‑based measures, etc.
- Deep understanding of dimensional data‑modeling techniques
- Experience with OBIEE RPD deployment and report migration
- Experience with ETL tools like Oracle Data Integrator
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Minimum 2 years of consulting experience in FDI/OBIEE/OACS/ODI and SQL
- Overall 7–12 years of industry experience with sound knowledge of data warehousing & data modelling and team management
Ideally you’ll also have
- Engagement with business partners and IT to understand requirements from various parts of an organization, driving design, programming execution, and UAT for future state capabilities within the platform
- Experience working in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment while managing multiple projects and strict deadlines
- Good understanding of outsourcing and off‑shoring, building win/win strategies, and contracts with suppliers
- Experience with other data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau would be a plus
- Experience with ETL tools such as ODI, Informatica, etc.
- Experience or good knowledge of Oracle Applications – Oracle E‑business Suite or Oracle ERP, Oracle HCM (the Oracle cloud SaaS offering) and its connectivity with different data visualization tools
- Integration development to/from other systems
