ESG & LkSG Compliance Officer (f/m/d)

Overview

As a Compliance Officer, you will strengthen the ESG and regulatory compliance framework within Deutsche Börse Group. You will act as a subject matter expert for ESG and LkSG, guiding across the group and supporting the Human Rights Officer in due diligence monitoring. You will track regulatory developments and assess their impact, helping business areas implement requirements while mitigating compliance and reputational risks. This role offers meaningful work at the intersection of sustainability, law, and governance, with scope to shape how the group manages ESG risks and greenwashing concerns.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Serve as central point of contact for ESG compliance and LkSG matters, providing practical guidance across Deutsche Börse Group
Act as subject matter expert for ESG and LkSG related questions
Assess and derive human rights-related due diligence measures and handle LkSG investigations in collaboration with affected areas
Maintain an overview of ESG compliance risk landscape and support annual risk assessment processes
Conduct compliance reviews of ESG-related statements to ensure alignment with internal requirements
Contribute to design and implementation of ESG and LkSG-related controls
Maintain ongoing dialogue with group entities and local Compliance Functions
Monitor and interpret emerging regulations (ESG, LkSG, CSRD, CSDDD) and support consultations on upcoming frameworks

Zentrale Anforderungen

University degree in law
At least three years of relevant professional experience in compliance or financial regulation
Profound knowledge of ESG, LkSG and CSR requirements and related regulatory frameworks
Strong writing, conceptual, and methodological skills; clear and structured communication
Team player with experience in a matrix, multicultural, international environment
Fluency in German and English
High level of commitment, strong communication, flexibility, hands-on mentality
