Position Overview

We are seeking anApplicationEngineer for our European Technical Organization, with focus on the Calibre line of products—the market leader in physical verification and circuitverification. You'll work closely with customers and our salesteamtomanage technical engagements that support sales campaigns and drive adoption of SiemensEDACalibre software tools.Thisroleis based in Germany and you'll bepartof a team covering Europe. You should anticipate some international travel within Europe and the US. You'll thrive in a collaborative, international environment where your technical expertise directly impacts customer success and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop close relationships with customers to assess their technical requirements and identify how SiemensEDACalibre solutions can address their needs through proactive outreach, presentations, demonstrations, and technical benchmarks
• Drive product adoption by creatingmethodologiesandflows, including infrastructure integration into customer environments, identifying pilot projects, and debugging new methodologies
• Uncover and qualify new opportunities, assess technical viability, and communicate findings clearly to the salesteamto establish success criteria for technical engagements
• Provide technical leadership on all aspects of sales campaigns, contributing to account and area technical business plans
• Share account, evaluation, competitor, and technology insights proactively with peers, sales teams, management, and product divisions to strengthen competitive positioning
• Actively participate in outbound marketing activities including trade shows, workshops, seminars, and webcasts

Qualifications

• BachelorofScienceinElectricalEngineeringorequivalent
• Experience as anApplicationEngineer or significant experience in customer environments with physical verification (DRC, DFM) andcircuitverification tools (LVS, PERC, PEX)
• Broad understanding of physical verification, circuit verification, extraction, and DFM methodologiesandflows
• Expert-level scripting and programming skills (TCL/Tk, Python) in CAD environments
• Working familiarity with Unix and Linux operating systems
• Strongcommunicationskills and ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly

• MasterofScienceinElectricalEngineeringorequivalent
• Experience with rule deck writing (Calibre TVF, SVRF)
• Hands-on experience or deep understanding of EM/IR analysis
• Familiarity with competitive tools, netlist interfaces, and industry formats
• Knowledge of compute farms, grid settings, and monitoring
• Background as an analog or physical designer

The primary location for this opportunity is Germany. Theapplicablesalary range is - EUR 78,400toEUR 156,800. Thisroleis eligible to earn incentivecompensation.
