Expert Digital ASIC Design Engineer (m/f/d)

In this role you will own end-to-end digital ASIC design for Advantest’s industry-leading test systems. You will collaborate with system architects, software, and marketing to translate requirements into robust digital architectures and RTL implementations, from concept to silicon. You’ll verify modules and chips, document architectures, and support physical design, while mentoring junior engineers. This position offers impactful work on complex mixed-signal ASICs within a cross-functional, innovation-driven team.

• Gather requirements for devices and IP and translate them into architecture
• Develop CMOS digital architectures and pipelines for SOCs
• Code RTL for digital and full-custom modules
• Verify at module and chip levels, including test plan generation
• Document architecture and implemented functionality
• Support floor-planning and physical design activities
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across functions

• University degree, Diploma or BS EE (BS preferred)
• Expert background in digital design for SOCs/ASICs and silicon development lifecycle
• Experience with RTL coding (Verilog)
• Experience with standard digital simulation tools
• Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments and programming languages
• Strong technical communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
