Expert for Digital Engineering (m/f/d)

In this role you will lead initiatives within our Digital Engineering strategy and help define and improve capabilities on a roadmap. You will act as a subject-matter expert across digital engineering domains, collaborating with R&D, Supply Chain, IT, and other stakeholders to bring technical and methodological solutions to projects. You will drive the implementation and operation of digital capabilities, and support adoption through coaching, training material, pilots, and rollouts. You will analyze engineering workflows to boost speed, quality, and digital maturity while shaping metrics to measure impact. • Lead projects related to the Digital Engineering strategy
• Contribute to definition and evolution of Digital Engineering capabilities on the roadmap
• Serve as SME for Digital Engineering domains, data models, and tools
• Support cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Supply Chain, IT
• Drive implementation and operationalization of Digital Capabilities in projects
• Coach engineers, contribute to training materials, and support pilots/rollouts
• Analyze engineering workflows to improve speed, quality, predictability, and digital maturity
• Contribute to metrics and indicators to assess effectiveness of Digital Engineering solutions

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable technical discipline
• Several years of professional experience in digitalization or digital engineering in hardware-centric environments
• Hands-on experience with PLM concepts and engineering authoring/lifecycle systems (e.g. Windchill, Teamcenter, Xpedition, NX)
• Understanding of engineering processes, data flows, and toolchains across product lifecycle
• Structured, analytical working style with ability to translate needs into scalable solutions
• Strong communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills
• Advanced English and basic German
