Overview

In this role you will oversee and grow MIS logistics operations by guiding the daily work of Logistics Service Providers and driving efficiency. You’ll monitor performance against SLAs, resolve issues, and implement process improvements to cut costs. Expect to safeguard stock accuracy, control budgets, and analyze KPIs to steer continuous improvements. You join a collaborative, impact-driven team focused on reliable logistics for METRO’s wholesale customers.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Oversee daily operations managed by Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) and address operational issues
Monitor LSP performance against SLAs, report deviations, and coordinate corrective actions
Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce costs
Ensure stock accuracy, review inventory reports, investigate discrepancies, and drive corrective actions
Track logistics costs, ensure budget compliance, and identify cost-saving opportunities
Assist in quality control from a logistics perspective, including root-cause analysis for damages or quality deviations
Regularly report KPIs, analyze performance trends, and develop improvement plans

Zentrale Anforderungen

Bachelor in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
5-7 years in logistics and warehouse management
2-3 years in a supervisory or team lead role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of logistics operations, WMS, and inventory control
Experience with third-party LSPs is beneficial
Proficiency in logistics software, data analysis, and performance metrics; Office tools
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies advantageous
Leadership and mentoring ability
Valid driving license and willingness to travel
