Overview

In this role you drive next-generation MV power conversion research and development for high-power applications such as PV, BESS, data centers, and EV charging. You act as the technical authority for R&D requirements and oversee design, verification, and validation of MV converters. You collaborate with external institutes, generate IP, and mentor cross-disciplinary engineers to advance Huawei Digital Power’s high-efficiency, low-emission power solutions.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Formulate R&D requirements for Medium Voltage Power Conversion Systems
Lead and execute development of novel MV architectures and converter structures for high-power applications
Own design, verification, and validation of MV converter concepts in the R&D labs
Collaborate with external R&D institutes and universities on converter and control algorithms
Generate novel ideas and protect them with IPR filings
Lead and mentor cross-discipline R&D engineers
Engage with MV standards awareness and insulation coordination considerations
Travel occasionally for projects, seminars, and conferences

Zentrale Anforderungen

PhD or Master in power electronics or a closely related engineering field
Several years of proven experience in MV, high-power electronics and product design or prototype development in industry
Deep expertise in MV power electronic converter topologies, modulation, control, and algorithm development (Megawatt-level hardware)
Working knowledge of MV standards; insulation coordination experience desirable
Proven experience with technology development initiatives, innovation, and technical leadership
Self-reliant, autonomous, target-oriented work style with a proactive mindset
Fluent in English; German or other languages a plus
Willingness to travel for ongoing projects and events
