Now is your opportunity to join our Own Brand Management Team for an 18-month fixed-term assignment as Expert Own Brand Management (f/m/d) .

During this period, you will take on an important role in shaping and supporting the strategic development of our Food Own Brands – creating value for our customers, our countries, and METRO as a whole.

You will be the key point of contact for brand-related topics across selected number of countries, central functions, and partners. This is an opportunity to take ownership from day one, contribute your expertise, and make a tangible impact on some of our Own Brands.

Where your expertise is needed

• Take ownership, working closely with our countries to strengthen the brands and further increase their Own Brand share.
• Collaborate closely with our Common Sourcing teams , with a particular focus on focus categories such as Fresh, edible and Canned Goods.
• Contribute to the strategic development of our Own Brands , including brand positioning, offer territories and brand-related guidelines and manuals.
• Ensure consistency across the marketing mix , supporting strong and coherent product development and execution across markets.
• Drive brand development and activation support with consistent implementation of communication campaigns

What we are looking for

• A university degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Marketing or a related field, combined with at least 2 years of professional experience in Brand Management, Sourcing or a comparable area.
• Experience or strong understanding of Own Brand / Private Label strategy development and implementation .
• Ideally, professional knowledge of food products and/or the hospitality sector .
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a strong customer and market orientation.
• The ability to work effectively across different functions, stakeholders and countries, supported by a good understanding of cross-functional processes.
• A proactive, energetic and hands-on approach , with the confidence to take ownership and move topics forward.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships in an international environment.
