(Expert/Senior) DevOps Engineer - Sovereign Cloud Delivery Germany (m/f/d)

DevOps Expert

We are looking for a DevOps Expert (f/m/d) for the newly founded Cloud Delivery Germany as part of SAP’s Sovereign Cloud Organization. You will be responsible for production cloud operations of our multitenant solutions in Germany.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, monitor, maintain and optimize the SAP Sovereign Cloud system landscape for Germany.
• Setup a multi‑system landscape architecture and integration aspects between heterogeneous system technologies.
• Provide on‑call support for incidents and performance degradations.
• Continuous improvement of implementation documentation.
• Partner with the engineering team to design and enhance cloud operation processes.

Qualifications

• Desire and ability to work independently on complex issues and collaborate efficiently with experts across different time zones.
• Expertise with GitLab.
• Familiarity with Terraform and Ansible.
• Expertise with Linux, SUSE.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Python, BASH scripting.
• Experience with hyperscaler services, cloud computing and databases.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle various projects, deadlines, and changing priorities.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment with on‑call duties and shifts, and commitment to daily office presence for efficient team collaboration.
• Experience in cloud operations of at least one SAP solution (e.g., HCM, BTP, SAC) is optional.

• Due to the potentially classified nature of our work, a governmental security clearance process is required.
