Export Control & Compliance Specialist (m/w/d)

What tasks can you expect?

• Support export control reviews, sanctions screening, transaction assessments, and related risk assessments.
• Assist with export licensing processes, documentation requirements, and communication with regulatory authorities, day to day contact with BAFA (German language).
• Maintain export control records, procedures, work instructions, and compliance documentation.
• Participate in internal audits, compliance assessments, monitoring activities, and investigations.
• Support the preparation and delivery of export control training and awareness programs.
• Contribute to the harmonization, centralization, and strategic development of export control processes across EMEA.

Your Profile

• Previous experience in export control, customs, compliance, legal, logistics, supply chain, engineering, or international business — this would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
• Proactively learning and developing export control expertise through training, practical experience.
• Demonstrating strong analytical skills, sound judgement, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive ownership of new topics.
• Working independently, readiness to travel outside Europe, managing complex matters reliably, and document activities in a clear and structured manner.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, with strong written and spoken English and good written and spoken German skills.
