Position: Export Control Manager
Location: Weeze, Germany

Tasks
- Conducting Sanctioned Party List (SPL) screening
- Implementing and continuously improving ICP, TCP, and other export control documents in accordance with national and international export control regulations, as well as monitoring compliance
- Supporting classifiers in the classification of goods
- Managing, monitoring, and applying for export and (re‑)export licenses (EU/DE/US)
- Point of contact for all employees within RAS regarding export control issues
- Developing and conducting export control training for various positions and levels
- Leading / participating in projects and internal working groups
- Conducting a thorough review of facts, documents, and licenses prior to approving a shipment or transaction
- You are authorized to:
- To halt any transaction or delivery based on assumptions, indications, or specific cases of suspected misconduct in order to prevent potential violations
- To take initial corrective action in cases of potential violations based on facts and documentss
- To sign license applications and notifications to the relevant authorities (BAFA, BIS, and DDTC) on behalf of RAS
- To approve deliveries and transactions
- To verify the legality and gather all relevant aspects and information for planned exports or transfers, temporary exports or transfers, or brokerage activities
Requirements
- Detailed knowledge of national export control regulations (EU Dual‑Use Regulation, AWG, and AWV) as well as U.S. re‑export regulations (EAR and ITAR)
- Ability to document processes and work instructions based on laws, rules, and regulations
- Expertise in training employees at all organizational levels
- High integrity, social and intercultural competence
- Self‑motivated and goal‑oriented work style
- High level of technical understanding
- Flexibility and mobility (including international travel)
- Business‑fluent English and German, both spoken and written
- Proficiency in Office applications as well as expertise in SAP R3, HANA, and GTS Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, international trade, business, or law (as well as alternative degrees)
- At least 3–5 years of operational and/or strategic experience in export control at a global company
- Proof of participation in export control training courses and conferences
- Strong network (national and international) with export control colleagues, government agencies, and associations
