As part ofourgrowth,wearehiringanField Application Engineerto support the
adoption anddeploymentof innovativeSolid-State Circuit Breaker
(SSCB)solutions fornext-generationpowerelectronicssystems. Youwillexplore
new applicationopportunities,developcustomer-orienteddemonstrators,
andcollaboratewithindustrialandresearchpartnerstoacceleratetheintegrationof
advancedsemiconductor-basedprotection technologies.

• Explore and qualify new applications for semiconductor-based power
  protection technologies and SSCB solutions.
• Design, develop, and validate demonstrators, prototypes, and customer evaluation platforms showcasing SSCB performance and benefits.
• Investigate the integration of Wide Bandgap (WBG) devices into fast, selective, and intelligent protection functions.
• Develop advanced test benches and perform characterization campaigns including fast transient, short-circuit, surge, and Safe Operating Area (SOA) testing.

Responsibilities:

• Collaboratewithcustomersandexternalpartnerstoco-developinnovative AC
  and DC power distribution architectures for applicationssuchas smart
  buildings, data centers,electricvehicles, andaerospacesystems.
• Buildandmaintainexpertisein: WBG semiconductor devices, device
  physical limitations (SOA, dv/dt, di/dt, thermal constraints) and protection and
  fast interruption topologies.
• Prepareapplication notes,technicalreports, and design guidelines.
• Monitor technology trends and market developments related to electronic protection solutions and power distributionsystems.

Job requirements

• EngineeringdegreeorMScin Power Electronics,ElectricalEngineering,
  Electronics, or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years Experience in power electronics and
  power semiconductor technologies.
• Understanding of fast electrical protection challenges including short-circuit protection, current limiting, and protection coordination.
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment such as high-bandwidth oscilloscopes, fast current probes, power supplies, and electronic loads.
• Strong analytical skills, hands-on experimental mindset, and ability to formalize technical findings.
• Comfortable working in collaborative and multidisciplinary environments involving industrial and academic partners.
• Autonomous, rigorous, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
