Aboutthe project/Role description

Theproject is planning the expansion of the existing Hamburg Refinery, by addingthe following process units and facilities: HVO Unit, pre-treatment Unit,tank farm balance (tanks partially supplied by others), interconnectinglines, new electrical substation and rack room, interconnecting cablesbetween new substation building and existing substation and control room.

SiteInspector ensures the implementation of all the quality procedures andstandards in the Site. They are responsible for performing inspections onsubcontractor’s activities assuring the conformity to site inspection plansand applicable engineering.

Dutiesand responsibilities

• To ensure theimplementation of all the Quality/HSE procedures and standards for theareas or activities (subcontractors) of responsibilities, together withthe other members of Quality/HSE teams;
• To support the ConstructionMaterial Controller in checking the Supplier’s material prior to thestart of works;
• To address Subcontractoractivities for his/her own discipline, ensuring that Plant Constructionworks are performed according to the applicable engineeringspecification, site procedures and Site Inspection Plan according toQuality & Safety procedures, as well as according to the terms andconditions of the subcontract
• To check that the manpoweremployed by the Subcontractor continuously respect the requirements ofapplicable procedures and the Quality level fixed by the same.
• To check that the equipmentemployed by the Subcontractor are adequate and calibrated as requiredaccording to applicable procedures and to the Quality level fixed by thesame
• To check that the worksperformed by the Subcontractor conform to the applicable documents,Safety regulations, and to the Quality level fixed by the same, incoordination with the other members of Quality/HSE teams;
• To inform the Site Engineerto make the necessary changes when detects any design errors;
• To promote thenon-conformity draft and informs the Construction Manager, supportingthem in the nonconformity resolution;
• Keeping the ConstructionManager informed, receive the Request of Inspection from Subcontractorsand confirm to proceed with the inspection informing the Client, assumethe responsibility in case of Client’s (motivated) rejection of theinspection taking care of remedial action and avoiding the repetition ofsimilar case in future.

Knowledge& Qualifications

• University Degree orDiploma in relevant discipline or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in the oil andgas industry
• At least 5 years relevantexperience in a similar role
• Experience in Gas Plantsand EPC Projects

Skillsand Abilities

• Excellent IT and analyticalskills;
• Excellent communications,team-oriented and interpersonal skills;

Self-motivationand direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problemresolution.
