Finance & Controlling Specialist (m/f/d)

Role Summary

For the German service unit of an internationally operating engineering company, we are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a strong focus on finance and controlling.

In this role, you will play a key part in the financial management of the DACH region and work closely with the local management team as well as the Italian parent company.

In addition to traditional accounting tasks, the role offers the opportunity to further develop controlling and reporting structures. You will also have the chance to gradually contribute to and implement IFRS reporting within the organization.

Your Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to German GAAP (HGB )
• Creation and further development of reports and KPIs
• Analysis of variances and support in budgeting and forecasting
• Contribution to financial and project controlling activities
• Close collaboration with management and international stakeholders
• Preparation of audit documentation and cooperation with external accountants (DATEV)
• Ensuring compliance with internal financial guidelines
• Supporting business and financial decision-making processes

Your Profile

• Completed commercial training, ideally as a tax clerk or similar qualification
• At least 3 years of experience
• Further qualification as a certified accountant (e.g. Bilanzbuchhalter) is a plus
• Experience in preparing financial statements under HGB
• Initial exposure to IFRS is a plus
• Solid experience with accounting systems (e.g. DATEV) and MS Excel
• Structured, reliable and independent way of working
• Fluent German skills and good English skills
