Job Description

We seek a visionary Finance Accounting Manager to drive financial excellence and strategic growth for our German subsidiary, bridging global corporate standards with local regulatory expertise. You will design and implement financial frameworks, orchestrate capital management, and embed strategic financial insights into business operations that ensure adherence to HGB and local fiscal regulations, fortify cash flow resilience, and empower data-backed business decisions to underpin the subsidiary’s sustainable growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take overall charge of financial management of the German subsidiary, covering financial planning, accounting, budget management, cost control, tax compliance, financial reporting and internal control. Ensure standardized, accurate and efficient financial operations in strict compliance with local German laws, regulations and accounting standards.
  • Serve as a core business partner to the CEO, with in-depth understanding of the company’s biotechnology business (including R&D, production and sales of IVD products). Provide professional financial analysis and data-driven decision support for business strategy formulation, project investment and cost optimization, to facilitate smooth business operation.
  • Establish and optimize the financial communication mechanism between the German entity and Chinese headquarters. Regularly report financial status, operating performance and risk alerts to the group, guarantee the consistency and transparency of financial information, and align local financial operations with corporate strategic goals.
  • Be proficient in Chinese and German accounting standards as well as taxation policies. Coordinate discrepancies between Sino-German financial systems, ensure compliance of cross-border financial activities, and optimize tax planning and cross-border capital allocation.
  • Cooperate with external parties including auditors, tax authorities and banks to handle financial affairs, maintain sound cooperative relationships, and ensure the smooth completion of financial audits and tax filings.
  • Proactively adapt to changes in market conditions, industry policies and group requirements, adjust financial management strategies in a timely manner, effectively mitigate financial risks, and balance regulatory compliance and operational flexibility.

Qualifications

  • Permanently resident in Germany with valid residence and work permits; familiar with local life and business environment, and able to work stably in Germany on a long-term basis.
  • Prior experience in financial management within biotechnology, healthcare or pharmaceutical industries is preferred; with a minimum of 3 years of Financial Controller experience. Candidates with working experience in Sino-German joint ventures or cross-border enterprises are highly preferred.
  • Fluent in written and spoken Chinese and English; capable of using English as the daily working language to communicate and report effectively with the German management team and Chinese headquarters.
  • Expertise in German Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (HGB) and Chinese Accounting Standards (CAS), well-versed in EU financial regulations and tax policies, with solid experience in cross-border financial management and tax planning.
  • Have in-depth insight into German corporate culture, and recognize local work values including work-life balance, rigorous planning, rule-based management and direct communication. Possess strong cross-cultural adaptability to integrate into local teams and collaborate harmoniously with German colleagues.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking; capable of integrating financial management with business development to deliver actionable decision support. Highly flexible to adapt to cross-cultural working environments and efficiently resolve complex operational and financial issues.
  • Upright with a strong sense of responsibility, and equipped with outstanding leadership, communication and coordination capabilities.
