Financial Analyst - Plant Ops (m/w/d)

Overview

In this role you partner with plant leadership to drive financial transparency and disciplined cost control at the Ottobrunn site. You will support month-end close, forecasting, budgeting, standard costing, and performance reporting to enable data-driven decisions. Your work links finance with operations, helping to translate numbers into actionable actions that improve productivity and asset governance. Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Support monthly close activities with accruals, reconciliations, variance analysis, and timely financial reporting
  • Analyze plant performance including conversion cost, material usage, VARs, scrap, inventory, absorption, and cost center spend
  • Collaborate with Operations to identify drivers, risks, and opportunities and translate results into actions
  • Support annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and regular outlook processes for Ottobrunn/Falkenberg sites
  • Maintain standard costs, routings, material master data, and cost build-ups in SAP ensuring accuracy and policy compliance
  • Monitor inventory, WIP, reserves, and fixed assets; assist with physical inventory and asset counts
  • Drive capital expenditure governance, asset transfers, and project tracking with proper approvals
  • Lead reporting improvements, automation, and standardization using Excel, Power Query, or similar tools
  • Ensure compliance with TE financial policies, internal controls, SOX, and local statutory considerations
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and decision support for productivity projects and make-versus-buy and footprint actions
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering with Finance specialization, or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in finance, controlling, FP&A, or plant operations finance; manufacturing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close
  • Strong analytical skills with large data sets and ability to derive insights
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP FI/CO or other ERP systems
  • Fluent English; German a plus for local collaboration
  • Ability to work onsite in Ottobrunn and build relationships with plant leadership and shop floor stakeholders
  • Strong business partnering and stakeholder influence
  • Clear and concise communication to non-finance audiences
  • Detail-oriented and structured with multi-tasking under deadlines
  • SAP FI/CO or other ERP systems
  • Advanced Excel; Power Query
  • Power BI (preferred)
