Financial Controller – Financial Planning, Reporting and External Audit

Prepare consolidated quarterly reports for the entities under responsibility
Prepare balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements on a quarterly and year-to-date basis
Prepare prior-year and budget comparisons, including variance analyses
Explain significant developments in revenue, costs, results and the balance sheet
Prepare regular management reports for the executive management team and relevant stakeholders
Consolidate, validate and analyze financial data
Further develop KPI systems, controlling tools and reporting processes
Coordinate report preparation and ensure compliance with agreed deadlines
Prepare financial plans, budgeted income statements and budgeted balance sheets
Support cash flow and liquidity planning
Prepare and monitor investment plans
Conduct forecasts and rolling planning updates
Prepare overviews of bank accounts, liabilities and financing agreements
Coordinate reviews and approvals within the planning process
Support and coordinate annual financial statement preparation
Prepare documentation for auditors and tax advisors
Support annual financial statement audits and respond to technical queries
Coordinate communication with external auditors
Track audit findings and corrective measures
Further develop internal control, documentation and reconciliation processes

Requirements

Completed degree in business administration, economics, finance or a comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in controlling, finance or external audit
Sound knowledge of corporate planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
Confident handling of balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
Experience preparing for and supporting annual financial statement audits
Good knowledge of working with auditors and tax advisors
Proficiency in MS Excel
Experience with ERP and controlling systems is an advantage
Strong understanding of business relationships and financial KPIs
Analytical, structured and detail-oriented approach to work
Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex matters clearly
Initiative, a strong sense of responsibility and high quality standards
