Key Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain novel robotic systems.
• Contribute to the development of complex systems and collaborate with peers and other teams to find solutions to challenging problems.
• Contribute valuable feedback during peer reviews.
• Support the development of new and innovative solutions in a high‑paced R&D environment.
• Engineer solutions that balance top‑notch performance and reliability, continually elevating both.
• Master various components including networking and WiFi, security, navigation, obstacle detection, motor control, robot control, functional safety related control, and diverse sensors.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
• 3+ years of supporting the architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• High level of proficiency with C/C++ and Python.
• Hands‑on system experience with Linux, including device drivers and multicore systems.
• Proven experience diagnosing and debugging complex, multi‑variable system issues.
• Hands‑on experience with embedded or real‑time operating systems such as Free RTOS, RT Linux, or Micrium.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Experience supporting the development of robotic control systems.
• Experience with low‑level board bring‑up or developing HAL code or BSPs for custom hardware.
• Exposure to networking, communications systems, and data security.
• Understanding of RF and wireless communications, especially 802.11.
• Experience supporting development with sensors such as cameras, 3D-TOF sensors, or other vision systems.
• Experience developing safety‑certified systems, especially with IEC 61508.
• Experience handling and analyzing large data sets and with AWS.
