Firmware Engineer (f/m/d) for Embedded / Automotive / ASIP RISC‑-V

In this role you will design, validate, and optimize firmware for ASIP (RISC-V-based) cores used in automotive and industrial sensor and actuator systems. You will work closely with system architects and hardware teams to shape architectures and ensure real-time, safety-compliant operation. You’ll build robust firmware, tooling, and validation strategies that enable reliable, high-performance embedded systems. • Collaborate with system architects, product definition, and hardware teams
• Contribute to definition and optimization of ASIP (RISC‑V) architectures
• Design and implement firmware for deeply embedded MCUs/DSPs
• Define and refine firmware requirements and architecture
• Develop and execute unit/integration tests and validation strategies
• Establish and maintain toolchains, simulations, and debugging workflows
• Support performance analysis and optimization in real-time contexts
• Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 functional safety standards

• Bachelor in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Strong embedded C (bare-metal) and Assembler
• Proficiency with compilers, debuggers, linkers
• Experience with simulators and emulators
• Static analysis and testing tools
• Memory-constrained and real-time systems understanding
• Low-level hardware interaction (register-level)
• CPU architecture principles
• Experience with signal processing basics (FIR/IIR, ADC handling)
• Python or similar for test automation
• Knowledge of ASPICE & ISO 26262 software processes
• Professional working proficiency in English
