Flight Control Systems Engineer

As Flight Control Systems Engineer at Helsing, you will lead the design and delivery of a fly-by-wire flight control system in collaboration with partners. You drive system architecture, lifecycle activities, and certification work to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. You’ll coordinate with cross-functional teams and report progress to senior leadership. • Lead technical development of flight control, vehicle management, and flight management architectures with internal and partner teams
• Plan and drive the systems engineering lifecycle from requirements to qualification
• Prepare technical deliverables and documentation including certification artifacts
• Create certification and compliance documentation and ensure adherence to aviation standards
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and provide regular status updates to Chief Engineering and Programme Management

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• Led design and development of flight control hardware and software for airborne platforms including systems engineering, safety, and avionics integration
• Deep knowledge of avionics HW/SW development and application of ARP4754/ARP4761 and DO-178C/DO-254 for safety-critical systems
• Established relationship with at least one civil or military aviation authority
• Deep knowledge of flight control and air vehicle management
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to stakeholders
