Food Quality Assessment Expert (all genders)

As Quality Assessment Expert, you will lead global QA assessments across METRO entities worldwide to ensure compliance with Global QA Standards. You’ll plan and conduct remote and on-site evaluations, consolidate findings, and report to senior management to drive continuous quality improvement. Your work supports cross-functional quality initiatives and governance, with opportunities to shape QA methodologies and training. This role offers international travel, strategic impact, and collaboration with a global quality culture.

• Plan, prepare and conduct Global Food QA Assessments across METRO entities to ensure Global QA Standards compliance
• Perform remote and on-site assessments (QMS, stores, depots, production sites, FSDs) with extensive international travel
• Evaluate results, align findings with entities, and communicate outcomes through professional reports and closing meetings
• Prepare and present assessment reports and key findings to senior management, including SVP Quality Assurance
• Monitor KPIs, support governance, and contribute to performance reporting for Global QA assessments
• Support development, calibration, qualification, and continuous improvement of the Global QA assessor community through training and knowledge sharing
• Develop, maintain and improve assessment methodologies, standards, checklists, and QA tools
• Contribute to QMS governance by identifying improvement opportunities and implementing best practices
• Support Ultra Fresh Operations initiatives with training materials and operational guidance on food safety and quality
• Participate in cross-functional projects supporting food safety, QA, and operational excellence across METRO entities

• Deep knowledge of HACCP and GQA standards
• Experience implementing and auditing Quality Management Systems
• Lead auditor training
• Minimum 3 years of audit experience in a multinational company
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including report writing
• Self-motivation, determination, and confidence
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent knowledge of Metro QA requirements (QA Manuals and Standards)
• Strong interest in International Food Quality and Safety Standards for wholesale
• Excellent technical knowledge in food quality and safety
• Fluency in English (additional languages advantageous)
