It makes its money when members fail, when they sign up in January full of resolve and never come back. aGYM is built the other way around: no contracts, no sign-up fees, cancel any time. Because once keeping people going is the whole game, you have to understand why people actually quit, and the answer was never willpower. It's a 200,000-year-old brain wired to save energy, colliding with a busy life. That's why we've built a "phygital" product where physical and digital are inseparable.

Since opening our first gym in Berlin, thousands of members have already joined us. It's thousands today, and soon to be millions.

We're a young, founder-led company. From the outside we might look like a gym with a nicer app. That's the surface. What we're really building is much bigger than fitness.

We're looking for people who turn ideas into things that actually ship, who are suspicious of plans that never become action, and who can't stop asking how things could run better.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Execution is where aGYM's ideas become reality. We only win if our members keep going, which means the company has to keep going, too. That's where you come in.

As our Founder's Associate – Strategy & Operations , you'll work directly with our founders, Jacob and Mo, helping turn ambitious ideas into finished projects, scalable processes and better ways of operating.

This isn't an assistant role. You won't be forwarding tasks or taking notes. And it's not pure strategy either. It's both! You'll take loosely defined problems, bring structure where there isn't any, and drive things until they're done.

You'll close the distance between a decision and a done thing, and then build the systems that keep that distance closed.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Take loosely defined problems and drive them from idea to implementation.
• Keep projects moving by creating clarity around priorities, ownership and deadlines.
• Turn open topics into concrete work packages and coordinate them across teams until they're delivered.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and build simple, scalable processes that make the company run better.
• Automating and abstracting by default. Before you do something twice by hand, you work out how it never has to be done by hand again, then you go build that.
• Research markets, competitors, locations and strategic opportunities to support key decisions.
• Prepare investor materials, presentations, business cases and decision documents.
• Work closely with the founders on company strategy, product thinking and operational scaling.

WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT

• A track record of getting things done, not just planning them.
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to create structure in ambiguous situations.
• High ownership. You see problems, take responsibility and drive them through to completion.
• Initial experience in startups, consulting, venture capital, operations, company building, project management or a similar fast-paced environment.
• A pragmatic mindset. You're happy to roll up your sleeves when the situation requires it.
• Comfort with ambiguity, changing priorities and building while the company grows.
• Confidence to challenge ideas, work directly with founders and earn trust through execution.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and genuine excitement about building companies.
