Founding Software Engineer | €90k–€130k + Equity | Munich (On-site)

Early-stage startup building a product that sits directly in front of customers, not hidden behind internal tooling. The focus is on delivering reliable, user-facing systems that people interact with daily.

They’re at the point where product is defined, but the technical foundation is still being shaped. The founding team is hands‑on, product‑led, and needs someone who can take ownership rather than wait for direction.

You’ll be joining at a stage where decisions still matter. Architecture, tooling, and how things get built are all open for input.

Role

Senior Engineer owning backend systems and customer‑facing services, working directly with the founders.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI
• Own features end-to-end, from design through to production
• Develop and scale customer‑facing web applications
• Drive best practices across testing, CI/CD, and deployment
• Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical direction

Requirements

• 5+ years in software engineering roles
• Strong backend experience with Python (FastAPI preferred)
• Solid frontend exposure with TypeScript, React, Next.js
• Experience in startup or high‑ownership environments
• Strong understanding of SDLC and production systems
• Comfortable working closely with product and taking initiative
