FPGA Engineer for Radar Systems

Your Job:

We are looking for FPGA Engineering Talents with hands-on experience and passion in building and integrating FPGA solutions for RF, or radar systems. You will design and test the software for advanced radar/GPR systems, including airborne (e.g., drone-based) configurations. This role combines FPGA system-level engineering with low-level coding, in addition to signal processing and testing.

You will be part of a small, early and focused team working closely with the company founders. Your actions will shape and impact the technical achievements of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the RF and hardware team for the radar system design, validation and testing.
• Develop FPGA and CPU software for our FMCW radar system (signal generation, system control, data acquisition).
• Design and implement digital signal processing functions (on FPGA) for sampling, filtering, calibration, synchronization, de-embedding, etc.
• Build testing setups for system validation and calibration.
• Communicate in real-time with other computer systems (Nvidia Jetson, NUCs, etc.), and optimize data streaming and buffering.
• Work closely with SAR engineers to provide clean, calibrated baseband data streams.

Required Qualifications

• Very good experience with FPGA development for real time data acquisition, and signal processing.
• Very good experience with embedded systems and microcontroller programming (C, C++).
• Good experience with digital signal processing.
• Previous experience with hardware communication protocols (e.g., JESD204B, SPI, UART)
• Nice to have: Previous experience with RF transceivers, or Radar systems.
• Nice to have: Previous experience with FMCW radar.
