Fraud Expert (m/f/d)

In this role you own the company-wide fraud prevention strategy and protect global operations. You work with cross-functional teams to optimize detection, controls, and processes across all SIXT products and channels. You will analyze real-time data to identify threats and drive strategic initiatives that improve payment success and reduce losses. • Lead the company-wide fraud prevention strategy across all products and channels
• Monitor real-time transactions and optimize fraud detection rules and models
• Evaluate and implement advanced fraud prevention technologies
• Collaborate with Payment, Risk, IT, Data, Compliance, and Customer Service
• Manage escalated fraud incidents and provide insights and KPIs to senior management
• Advise on fraud risk and ensure regulatory and governance compliance
• Lead initiatives to improve payment success rates and reduce losses
• Provide strategic recommendations to protect global operations

• several years of experience in payments, e-commerce, or fraud risk
• experience in merchant, PSP, or acquirer environments (preferred)
• strong knowledge of payment processes, authorization logic, and fraud typologies
• analytical mindset with technical affinity
• experience with fraud tools; scripting (SQL, Python) as a plus
• leadership and clear communication at all levels
