Opportunity
When our clients face complex finance and accounting issues, they rely on us to provide deep expertise and insights. As a Manager in our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) Transactions group, you will play a critical role in advising companies on complex financial reporting and accounting matters, including revenue recognition, share-based payments, financial asset transfers, securitizations, consolidation, leases, and mergers & acquisitions.
You will help shape innovative, strategic solutions, deepen client relationships, and drive the success of our Advisory Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of complex accounting areas to deliver tailored insights and challenge existing practices.
- Collaborate across FAAS and multiple service lines to build relationships and bring integrated solutions to clients.
- Lead engagements, ensuring that client expectations are understood and satisfied.
- Identify and communicate opportunities to improve client outcomes and internal processes.
- Travel regularly to meet with key clients.
Skills and Attributes
- Consult on complex, technical accounting issues with clients.
- Collaborate with partners, senior managers, and clients to influence strategy and balance risk.
- Ensure engagement teams understand unique client needs and expectations.
- Build relationships across disciplines to provide seamless integrated service.
- Manage performance and identify chances to improve products and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, CPA certification, and 2–5 years of audit experience preferably in a public accounting firm.
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
- Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Exposure or interest in revenue recognition, share‑based payments, financial asset transfers (securitizations, factoring agreements), consolidation, and equity method accounting.
- Experience with strategic transactions such as business combinations, M&A, and joint ventures.
- Understanding of the financial services industry and common terminology, processes, and tools.
- Proven record of excellence in managing, mentoring, and improving high‑performing teams.
- Confidence to research and resolve emerging client issues, including regulatory and technological changes.
