Full Professor of Private, Commercial, Company and Business Law

Position

The Faculty of Business, Economics, and Law at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) invites applications for a Full Professor of Private, Commercial, Company and Business Law (salary group W3) at the School of Law. This is a full-time and permanent position planned to be filled by April 1, 2027.

Responsibilities

The professor will represent the field in research and teaching, carry out administrative duties, and take a proactive approach to raising third‑party funding. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration, particularly with the School of Business, Economics and Society at FAU, and participate in intensive student mentoring. Teaching staff are expected to be present during lecture periods, and those able to teach in both English and German are preferred.

Qualifications

• University degree and a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline.
• Additional postdoctoral qualifications (habilitation or equivalent).
• Outstanding track record in research and teaching.
• Certification in capital market law is desired.
• Willingness to become involved in interdisciplinary collaboration.
