Role Summary

Functional Expert with 5-7 years of experience in banking/financial services domain. Strong understanding of regulatory and legal risk processes , and native level/C2 German language proficiency to interact with German-speaking business stakeholders.

Focuses on business requirement gathering, functional design, and stakeholder alignment to support initiatives within Legal Risk and Regulatory Reporting in a large banking environment and working closely with IT teams for delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Functional & Business Responsibilities

• Act as a functional representative for Legal Risk and Regulatory Reporting initiatives.
• Engage with Business, Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to
• Gather, analyze, and document regulatory and business requirements
• Interpret regulatory changes and assess functional impact
• Prepare clear and structured functional deliverables, including:
• Business and Functional Requirement Documents
• Functional designs, business rules, workflows, and reporting logic
• Ensure alignment with internal policies, controls, and regulatory expectations
• Support UAT activities, including requirement clarification, issue analysis, and business sign-off
• Act as a bridge between Business and IT , clarifying functional intent and resolving requirement-related queries
• Ensure timely communication and escalation of issues impacting regulatory commitments

Stakeholder Management & Communication

• Serve as a key point of contact between Business and Technology teams.
• Conduct requirement discussions, walkthroughs, and reviews in German and English .
• Prepare concise functional summaries, impact assessments, and status updates for stakeholders.

• German at native/C2 level
• Strong exposure to:
• Legal Risk
• Regulatory Reporting
• Risk, Compliance, or Finance functions
• Proven experience in business analysis and functional design roles within regulatory programs.
• Good understanding of banking systems, data flows, and reporting platforms
