We are seeking an experienced GCP Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure. You will translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) while operating within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
This is you
- Solution Architecture: Design highly available, fault-tolerant systems using GKE, Compute Engine, and/or BigQuery.
- Foundation: Master secure baseline infrastructure templates, blueprints for landing zones and tools (e.g., GCP ADK Framework capabilities).
- Observability & Monitoring: Build and maintain comprehensive monitoring frameworks using Google Cloud Observability (formerly Stackdriver). Define SLIs/SLOs, configure proactive alerting, and utilize Cloud Trace and Cloud Logging to ensure 24/7 system health.
- Agile Execution: Operate as a key member of a cross-functional team using Agile methodologies. Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure iterative delivery of high-quality infrastructure.
- Project Management: Utilize Jira to track progress, manage the architectural backlog, and document technical user stories and tasks.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate environment provisioning using Terraform or Ansible.
- Optimization: Continuously monitor and tune resources for performance and cost‑efficiency using the GCP Well‑Architected Framework.
Required Skills & Experience
- Technical Expertise: Deep proficiency in core GCP services (Networking, IAM, Cloud SQL, etc.).
- Monitoring Focus: Proven experience with monitoring tools (Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, or Grafana) to visualize system performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
- Process Mastery: Strong background working in Agile/Scrum environments with a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Tooling: High proficiency in Jira for task management and workflow tracking.
- Certifications: Google Professional Cloud Architect certification is highly preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications (The "Extra" Bit)
Nice‑to‑have skills:
- Multi‑Cloud Knowledge: Proficiency with AWS is a significant plus, particularly for hybrid or multi‑cloud environment management.
- DevOps Proficiency: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
