About The Role

We are looking for a General Accounting Supervisor to lead and support accounting operations in an international environment. The role combines team leadership, financial reporting, compliance oversight, and business partnering responsibilities. The position requires occasional business travel (approximately 30%), primarily to Germany.

What You Will Do

  • Managing the accounting team: responsible for hiring, training, mentoring, and ensuring all accounting processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Financial reporting: prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash‑flow statements for stakeholders.
  • Business partnering: independently support and partner with other Finance and Non‑Finance teams to advance organizational goals.
  • Compliance: ensure the organization complies with all financial regulations, laws, and internal policies, maintaining accurate records, filing tax returns, and adhering to accounting standards.
  • Financial analysis: analyze financial data, identify areas for improvement, and recommend changes to enhance financial performance.

What You Will Need

  • Experience in preparing and analyzing financial reports, including financial statements, cash‑flow impacts, budgets, and forecasting.
  • Analytical thinking: collect, organize, analyze, interpret, and communicate financial data clearly and concisely.
  • Problem‑solving: identify problems, develop solutions, and implement effective strategies promptly.
  • Communication: effectively interact with external and internal stakeholders at all levels, including auditors, vendors, and financial professionals, and present financial reports in a clear manner.
  • Leadership: manage and develop a team of finance professionals, upskill members, and hold underperforming members accountable.
  • Organization: manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
  • Technology proficiency: use financial software and tools to manage accounting data, generate reports, and analyze performance.
  • Compliance knowledge: stay up‑to‑date on regulations and laws and ensure accounting standards are met.
  • Collaboration: work effectively as part of a team across departments to achieve shared goals.
  • Strategic partnerships: build and maintain partnerships with external and internal stakeholders, including auditors and vendors.
  • English & German language skills required.
