We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Accountant to join our team. In this hands‑on role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. As an individual contributor, you will play a key role in daily accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, reconciling accounts and assisting with month‑end close procedures and audit. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently will be essential in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting overall business operations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for end-to-end accounting for German legal entities, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, payroll, tax, and statutory accounting topics.
• Prepare and support monthly and yearly closings in line with US GAAP and HGB accounting standards.
• Review and ensure accuracy of financial reports, postings, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with internal departments, Finance BP and auditors on accounting related matters.
• Support process improvements, automation, and standardization within accounting and reporting processes.
• Maintain accounting configurations and support testing of accounting‑related system changes.
• Monitor compliance with Group policies and local statutory requirements.
• Support balance sheet reviews, digital archive management, and cross‑functional finance projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or CFA certification is a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and HGB Accounting Standards; IFRS is a plus.
• SAP, DATEV technical background knowledge is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and German (at least B2 level).
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work under pressure.
• Results‑oriented with excellent planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills.
