Overview

General Manager responsible for managing Operations & Maintenance of the wind farm and its substation, ensuring safety and maximum production in line with cost targets set by owners.

Responsibilities

• Fully accountable for operational performance and P&L responsibility.
• Safety leadership to develop a generative safety culture and ensure compliant delivery of OT&M activities.
• Manage wind farm performance against commercial KPIs (energy availability, operating expenditures) defined in the mid‑term plan.
• Continuously improve asset performance working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide hands‑on leadership to motivate the wind farm team, supporting teams and third parties to achieve targets.
• Manage joint venture shareholders and lenders, including obligations under relevant agreements and oversee JV partnership on operational matters.
• Ensure compliance with wind farm contracts and agreements.
• Contribute to the mid‑term planning process, centrally run projects/initiatives, and collaborate with peers to share best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6‑8 years experience as General Manager (or similar) managing operations on an offshore wind farm, ideally in a JV setup.
• German fluency, close to native speaker level.
• In‑depth technical knowledge of wind turbine generators and subsea maintenance protocols, proven track record in major component exchanges.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and other operations software platforms.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Results‑driven, well‑organized, able to set clear targets, meet deadlines, multitask, and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent problem‑solving capabilities, with history of agile, decisive operational decision‑making.
• Solid offshore work background, prior experience as technical staff, ongoing physical ability to travel offshore and provide hands‑on assistance.
• Knowledge of marine life enhancement strategies and experience collaborating with marine biology universities.
