Geriatrician for Elderly Services (Remote Focus)

We operate as a service provider in elderly medical services for the Pirkanmaa wellbeing area and are seeking a competent and motivated team member for the role of elderly doctor. As a doctor, you will be responsible for primary health care for your area’s clients, similar to a health center doctor, in service housing units and/or home care. The service also includes housing services for people with developmental disabilities.

We are looking for a geriatrician for elderly care in the Pirkanmaa region. Besides elderly patients, you may also work with people with developmental disabilities. You will be responsible for medical services for clients in home care and housing units in Tampere, Ikaalinen, Sastamala, or Punkalaidun. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build long-term care relationships and see the quality and medical impact of your work, as you will serve as the personal doctor for your area’s clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services for clients in home care and housing units in the Pirkanmaa region (Tampere, Ikaalinen, Sastamala, Punkalaidun).
• Deliver primary health care as a doctor in elderly care, including patients with developmental disabilities when applicable.
• Build long-term care relationships as the personal doctor for your area’s clients.
• Conduct regular remote and on-site visits and schedule semi-urgent consultations in advance.
• Perform annual check-ups for each patient where applicable.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive, high-quality patient care.

Work arrangement

This is a hybrid role with predominantly remote work. On-site visits will be scheduled as needed.

Work schedule

Working hours are weekdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The role can be part-time or full-time. Start as soon as possible.
