German Fund Tax Specialist

We’re hiring a German Fund Tax Specialist to join a fund services environment supporting investment fund clients with day-to-day German tax work. This role is aimed at mid-level professionals who’ve built strong practical delivery experience through a large consulting, accounting, or tax advisory firm and have spent time working on-site (or closely embedded) with fund managers and/or fund administrators.

This is not a “head of tax” seat. It’s a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys getting the work done well, working with stakeholders, and building deeper expertise in German fund taxation over time.

What you’ll do

You’ll support the ongoing German tax delivery for investment fund structures, including practical, operational tax work completed on behalf of fund management and/or fund services clients. Depending on your background, this can include:

• Preparing and coordinating recurring German fund tax deliverables (day-to-day compliance / reporting support)
• Gathering, validating, and translating inputs from internal teams and external stakeholders into accurate tax outputs
• Supporting technical queries with clear, practical responses (and escalating more complex issues where needed)
• Working closely with operations/administration teams so tax positions are reflected correctly in processes and timelines
• Contributing to process improvement: templates, checklists, better handoffs, and cleaner data flows
• Participating in client/service-team calls where helpful, with support from senior team members

What we’re looking for

• Mid-level experience in tax delivery gained in a large consulting / accounting / tax advisory firm
• Strong preference for candidates who have worked on-site (embedded) with fund managers, fund administrators, or fund services teams, doing day‑to‑day tax‑related work on their behalf
• Exposure to German investment fund taxation (InvStG and related areas) in a practical delivery context
• Ideally completed (or part‑completed) the German tax qualification referenced in the job specification (this is a strong advantage)
• Comfortable working in a structured, deadline‑driven environment with multiple stakeholders
• Clear communication, strong attention to detail, and a “get it done” mindset
