Global Commodity Engineer – Interconnection Technologies (m/f/d)

In this role you drive global interconnection technology strategies across a complex product environment. You will align technical roadmaps with supplier capabilities and procurement, coordinating cross‑functional teams to ensure robust, cost‑effective solutions. You enable R&D and suppliers to work together from concept through qualification, focusing on reliability, manufacturability, and scalable deployment. This is a global, matrixed role that combines deep engineering with collaboration to deliver measurable improvements in interconnect performance and cost. You will act as a technical lead and facilitator, shaping both technology choices and supplier development to support the company\

• Develop, maintain, and evolve the global requirements matrix
• Evaluate supplier capabilities and conduct deep dives on failure modes and manufacturability
• Partner with Global Procurement to define and support interconnect commodity strategies
• Lead supplier qualification, capability audits, and new supplier qualification programs
• Ensure R&D teams receive strong support from strategic suppliers
• Facilitate cross‑functional communication across global design reviews, supplier meetings, and procurement decisions
• Support R&D throughout the development cycle
• Define inspection criteria, test methods, and qualification plans with quality teams
• Investigate root causes of interconnect issues and drive corrective actions with suppliers and design teams
• Scout, develop, and qualify new suppliers as needed

• Bachelor in Engineering
• 10+ years experience with interconnection technologies
• Experience working globally
