What You Can Expect

We are creating a dedicated accounting department within the Coatings business unit and are looking for a Global Functional Process Owner for Book-to-Report / Record-to-Report (B2R) and General Accounting.

Own the global B2R | General Accounting processes, including global chart of accounts setup, journal voucher postings, period-end closing processes, and financial statement preparation & disclosures.
Establish and maintain global standards for B2R | General Accounting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements across the Coatings division.
Oversee general accounting activities, identify and drive process improvement opportunities, leveraging technology and digital solutions to enhance automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the finance organization.
Manage a third‑party business process provider in the area of general accounting and implement process performance KPIs to steer the service provider.
Collaborate closely with related functions such as Group Accounting, Order‑to‑Cash, Purchase‑to‑Pay, asset and project accounting, coordinating integration efforts and ensuring holistic alignment of accounting processes.
Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure that general accounting processes meet business needs and support strategic objectives.

What You Offer

University degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field; additional certifications such as CMA or CPA are an advantage.
At least 10 years of experience in financial process management and optimization, with a strong focus on general accounting activities in a multinational corporation.
Experience in the chemicals industry or a related industry, particularly during transitions or carve‑outs, is highly beneficial.
Strong understanding of accounting processes and process optimization methodologies.
Proficiency in SAP R/3 and S/4, process mapping tools, and advanced MS Office skills.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
Fluency in English is required.
