Global Head of Total Rewards Frameworks and Design (f/m/d)

Job Overview

We are looking for a Global Head of Total Rewards Frameworks and Design (f/m/d) to lead the strategic design and execution of executive and non‑executive compensation, company‑wide budgeting, equity programs, base pay structures, M&A integration, and overall compensation frameworks, including Fair Pay practices.

In close collaboration with the broader Total Rewards team and the HR organization, this role will deliver solutions that drive employee engagement, optimize total reward packages, and support strategic objectives and sustainable business results.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and mentor the Total Rewards design team, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance culture.
• Oversee design and implementation of competitive compensation strategies that align with the company’s goals and market practices.
• Lead the annual compensation budgeting process, collaborating with finance and other key stakeholders to allocate resources effectively and in line with market data.
• Ensure compensation practices comply with regulatory requirements and governance standards.
• Stay up‑to‑date with market trends and conduct regular benchmarking analyses to keep compensation programs competitive and aligned with industry standards.
• Effectively communicate compensation plans to executives and key stakeholders, providing clarity and transparency.
• Oversee design and legal compliance related to equity‑based compensation plans, including stock options, restricted stock units (RSUs), and performance shares.
• Conduct comprehensive compensation due diligence during M&A activities, assessing risks and opportunities, and plan integration of programs post‑M&A.
• Monitor Fair Pay practices, promoting pay equity and transparency across the organization.
• Engage with stakeholders such as Executive Board, Supervisory Board Representatives, HR, Finance, Legal, and other departments to ensure cohesive and integrated compensation strategies.
• Support the continuous development of team members through training, coaching, and performance feedback.

What You Bring

• Proven experience (10+ years) in Total Rewards or Compensation management, particularly in design processes.
• Strong understanding of executive and non‑executive compensation, equity programs, and global compensation frameworks.
• Experience building strong relationships with C‑suite executives, with expertise in benchmarking, budgeting, and compliance.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Leadership experience with the ability to develop and inspire a high‑performing team.

Education And Qualifications

• University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Relevant certification is a plus.
