Adjunct Faculty – Government Program (On‑Site, Garmisch, Germany)

Location: Garmisch, Germany.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Government or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional experience in Government or a related field.
• Teaching experience with adult learners in an online or higher‑education setting (preferred).
• Local applicant only; must maintain and be able to secure legal status to teach in Germany.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage students through frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed and conveys enthusiasm for learning.
• Guide students in active collaboration and in applying learning to problem‑ and project‑based assignments.
• Provide rich, constructive feedback using rubrics and recognizing student accomplishments.
• Demonstrate current subject‑matter expertise and help students connect concepts across the program.
• Supply feedback to the program chair on potential curricular improvements.

Remuneration & Benefits

Salary: Commensurate with experience, based on step schedule:
Non‑PhD: Step1$903 – Step16$1,173 per credit hour.
PhD: Step1$931 – Step16$1,215 per credit hour.

Health coverage: Full health, medical, vision, dental, and prescription plans for individuals and families, effective the 1st of the month following hire. Adjuncts are only eligible for State of Maryland benefits and are responsible for the full cost if enrolled.

Insurance & Retirement: Term life and accidental death/dismemberment; retirement plans including 403(b), 457(b), and various Roth options (no faculty match).
