Government Relations Manager, Dusseldorf(A153624)

Job description

1. Build and maintain relationship with public authorities at different levels related to Xiaomi business, including ministries, local authorities etc.
2. Provide in-depth analysis of industry policies and regulations related to Xiaomi’s business in Europe, identifying and monitoring potential risks and giving policy advice.
3. Coordinate industrial association memberships relevant to Xiaomi’s business and develop and manage a network of contacts with industrial partners.
4. Represent Xiaomi’s position in regular interactions with different actors in government, think tanks, international organizations and other public agencies.
5. Collaborate cross-functionally with local business units (such as R&D, sales and marketing teams) and provide support for relevant issues.
6. Assist various business teams to conduct policy analysis and facilitate activities on European level.

Job requirement

1. 1. Experience in dealing with government departments and public authorities, 3 years working experience in the government or GR/PA department of corporations or consultancy is preferred.
2. 2. Possess in-depth knowledge of relevant current policies and regulations, including in transport/mobility/automotive sector.
3. 3. Objective-oriented and good business sense, strong analytical skills, self-motivated and entrepreneurial, excellent self-management skills, ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
4. 4. Strong socializing skills and outstanding competence of interpersonal communication, able to represent Xiaomi in a positive manner.
5. 5. A Bachelor Degree or above, ideally in Public Relations, International Studies, Political Science, Engineering, or similar disciplines.
6. 6. Fluent German speaker with additional profound English spoken and written skills.
