Overview

As Graphene Process Development & Innovation Engineer, you will lead scalable graphene transfer, lamination, and wet-processing for next-gen IGP devices, bridging R&D and manufacturing. You will collaborate across teams to qualify processes, develop equipment-ready flows, and drive continuous improvement in yield and device performance. You’ll solve complex integration challenges and transfer learnings from lab to fab with external partners. This role offers meaningful impact by advancing energy-efficient, high-bandwidth semiconductor tech.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Lead development and optimization of graphene transfer, lamination, handling, patterning, and wet processes for IGP applications
  • Develop scalable process flows from R&D through qualification and manufacturing ramp-up
  • Establish process windows to meet graphene quality, adhesion, and pattern fidelity targets
  • Evaluate and qualify new materials, chemicals, tapes, carriers, and technologies for graphene integration
  • Drive process innovation and solve graphene integration and manufacturing challenges
  • Lead the development and integration of graphene transfer, lamination, wafer mounting, tape application, and wet-process equipment
  • Define equipment requirements, specifications, capabilities, and automation needs
  • Support equipment selection, installation, commissioning, qualification, and production release
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and lead root-cause analysis
  • Drive DOE, process characterization, data analysis, SPC, and process monitoring to improve yield, quality, and productivity
  • Establish and maintain process specs, windows, recipes, and control plans
  • Support fab startup, qualification, production readiness, yield, and throughput improvements
  • Develop manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and qualification documentation
  • Lead continuous improvement activities focused on yield, quality, and cost of ownership
  • Collaborate with Process Integration, Device, Equipment, Facilities, Metrology, Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D teams
  • Lead discussions with external partners, universities, and suppliers
  • Transfer process knowledge from R&D into manufacturing in a controlled, scalable manner
  • Support technician and engineer training on graphene processes and equipment
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Semiconductor Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered
  • 3+ years of semiconductor, advanced materials, advanced packaging, wafer processing, or related manufacturing experience
  • Strong experience in graphene or 2D-material processing and integration, graphene transfer and handling, wafer lamination or tape application, thin-wafer handling, wet and chemical processing, advanced packaging or wafer-level manufacturing, semiconductor equipment development and integration
