Grid Connection & Electrical Integration Manager (f/m/d)

As Grid Connection & Electrical Integration Manager, you ensure high-quality electrical integration for utility-scale BESS projects and oversee grid connection certification. You act as the central technical integrator among EIS, TSOs/DSOs, EPCs, OEMs, and consultants, coordinating interfaces across substations, protection, SCADA, EMS, and BESS assets. You drive risk-aware decision-making and support project development, procurement, construction, and energization. This role blends technical leadership with cross-functional collaboration to enable successful grid connections and project delivery.

• Assure quality of electrical integration for utility-scale BESS projects (incl. grid connection certification)
• Serve as the key technical integrator between EIS, TSOs/DSOs, EPC contractors, OEMs, and consultants
• Coordinate interfaces between substations, HV/MV equipment, protection systems, SCADA, EMS, and BESS assets
• Review engineering deliverables for compliance with project requirements and grid connection standards
• Support project development, procurement, construction, commissioning/energization
• Identify and mitigate technical and commercial risks
• Manage external engineering partners and EPC contractors throughout project delivery

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with proven experience in utility-scale BESS, renewable energy, transmission, distribution, or substation projects
• Understanding of protection, control and SCADA systems with ability to review and validate designs and studies
• Familiar with grid connection processes, German and European grid requirements, and TSO/DSO processes
• Experience with managing EPC contractors or Owner’s Engineers and coordinating interfaces across multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, influencing, and decision-making skills
• Commercial awareness of project risks, priorities, cost, schedule, and contractual interfaces
• Fluent in German and English (C1) with 20-40% travel flexibility
