Grid Connection Engineer

Stellenbeschreibung:

• Manage all grid connection processes (HV/MV) for PV, wind, and BESS projects throughout the entire project lifecycle
• Coordinate with transmission and distribution system operators, authorities, and internal teams such as EPC and Development
• Lead technical negotiations to secure grid connection agreements and permits
• Prepare technical specifications for high-voltage equipment
• Support Procurement with supplier evaluations
• Review detailed engineering designs, protection concepts, and grid simulation models
• Provide technical construction support and oversight
• Coordinate commissioning and certification activities
• Develop innovative approaches to optimize grid connections

Requirements

Extensive professional experience managing grid connection processes (high and medium voltage) for PV, wind, and BESS projects, as well as working with TSOs/DSOs
In-depth knowledge of technical and regulatory requirements, such as VDE application rules and the Requirements for Generators (RfG)
Strong understanding of high-voltage engineering, transformers, switchgear, protection technology, grid simulation models, and protection concepts
Excellent stakeholder management, assertiveness, and negotiation skills
Very good German language skills and fluent, business-level English, both written and spoken
